Job Description

Candidates may live remotely anywhere in the US. The preferred candidate will reside in Chicago, IL or Nashville, TN.

Overview:

The Business Operations Intern will join our Project Management Office Standards and Governance Team where they will manage best practices, training, communication, and process improvement initiatives to assist the field project managers in successfully deploying their solutions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop, and Test Business Process Workflows and Integrations

  • Translate business requirements into actionable steps

  • Document business processes through work instruction documents, process maps, infographics, or other media

  • Perform Process Automation using Google App Scripts

  • Engage with stakeholders to find and execute process improvements

  • Assist in training content development and execution for the SDI Organization Project Managers

  • Assist in defining, developing, and tracking metrics

Qualifications:

  • Strong project management and organizational skills; able to shift focus and work under short deadlines

  • Highly collaborative; able to build productive, positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

  • A positive attitude with a can-do mentality that enables you to be creative, resourceful, and deliver results

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Technology, or Engineering

Basic Requirements
  • High School Diploma is required

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or similar business/technical discipline with a graduation date of December 2024 or later

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position
