Department Overview
Software Upgrade Operations team is committed to providing the Motorola Solutions Public safety customers the best possible experience while ensuring all upgrade activities are done correctly and promptly. The team is responsible for planning and executing software upgrades for PremiereOne CAD, Records and Mobile. The team works closely with CMSO, SI deployment and other Implementation teams to support Upgrades, deployments and customer hardware refresh.

Job Description
  • Collaborate with Project PM to Present new features to customers prior to upgrades
  • Coordinate customer installs with Project managers, and various support teams
  • Identify process changes required to support remote upgrades in new releases
  • Collaborate with Field Engineers to Perform Functional validation testing following upgrades
  • Characterize and document issues found post upgrade on customer systems
  • Collaborate with Project PM to Present new features to customers prior to upgrades
  • Coordinate customer installs with Project managers, and various support teams
  • Identify process changes required to support remote upgrades in new releases
  • Collaborate with Field Engineers to Perform Functional validation testing following upgrades
  • Characterize and document issues found post upgrade on customer systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in networking concepts and SQL databases
  • Experience with Windows System Administration
  • Analytical mindset that can dig into client and technical needs
  • Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and customers

This position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US.

Basic Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with a graduation date in or after December 2025.
