As a Manager Global Payer Marketing, you will be responsible for developing marketing plans and resources targeting global payers that will support market access for the on-market and pipeline products in the portfolio of Abbott Diabetes Care. This role requires a thorough understanding of the healthcare landscape, payer dynamics, and market access strategies to drive the adoption and reimbursement of ADC products.

What You’ll Do

The Manager is responsible for assisting in the following activities:  

  • Develop and implement global payer marketing strategies to expand reimbursement and support new product launches
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Area Market Access, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Sales, and Regulatory, to ensure alignment and integration of payer strategies.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify payer needs, trends, and opportunities.
  • Create and deliver compelling value propositions, messaging, and marketing materials tailored to payer audiences.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of payer marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Stay informed about global healthcare policies, reimbursement trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives and financial planning processes.  
  • Competition and Positioning: Thoroughly understand competitive offerings and provide Area teams with appropriate positioning and tools to differentiate product(s) versus the competition in a profitable manner that adds value to the customer.
  • Scientific and Promotional Tool Creation: Provide the Area teams with core promotional and scientific tools and support materials to help them meet their business objectives.
  • Internal Communication: Responsible for creating a clear line of communication between Global Market Access and all other Areas that are affected by global payers.
  • External Communication: Interface with consultants, marketing research firms, ad agencies, other vendors, and customers to effectively manage and grow business profitably, while maintaining a customer focus woven throughout all activities. 
  • Utilize market research, customer input, Area input, and other means to ensure profitable reimbursement and market access goals are achieved.
  • The Manager is responsible for achievement of the goals and objectives of the Global Market Access organization. 
  • Performance will be monitored versus the annual plan, and execution against the action items and financial objectives. 
  • Must ensure compliance with the Quality System, and all Ethics/Compliance guidelines.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING 

Required 

  • Bachelor degree in business, life sciences, engineering or related technical discipline.
  • MBA is desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payer marketing, market access, or a related field within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of global payer environments and healthcare systems
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.

The base pay for this position is

$125,300.00 – $250,700.00
