Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect with expertise in distributed systems, modern data platforms, cloud native application development, event-oriented architectures, and with a passion for teaching and leading high quality software engineering design and development. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure systems to support our revenue cycle management platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure distributed systems to support our revenue cycle management platform using .NET framework, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures.
  • Design and develop application use cases interacting with data platforms, such as Databricks, to support data ingestion, processing, storage, and retrieval.
  • Provide guidance and leadership for engineering groups in the execution of engineering and product development initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineering teams to ensure adherence to software engineering design and practices.
  • Review architecture and design of existing legacy applications and establish designs and plans for modernization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations, to ensure successful delivery of products and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve our platform.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable security and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide architectural guidance at the enterprise level.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in designing and architecting distributed systems in an cloud environment.
  • Strong expertise in distributed systems, data platforms, and cloud technologies such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud, as well as experience with the .NET framework, Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, and Databricks.
  • In-depth understanding of software engineering design and practices, including agile methodologies, continuous integration and delivery, and DevOps.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Previous experience with software development in the healthcare industry is required.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • As leading teams and groups of teams directly or indirectly may be required from time to time, the ideal candidate will have prior experience with engineering management at the Director+ level.
  • Previous experience with revenue cycle management or adjacent concepts such as claims processing is desirable
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $147,000.00 - $206,407.00 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
