We have an opening for an Area Operations Manager covering the M4 Corridor working within our Service and Solutions team at Michelin. We are looking for an exceptional person who can manage both our contractual commitments to customers and lead the performance and development of our teams of Fleet Operators working in our customers’ depots.

What will you be doing?
Oversee the execution of contracts within your area, including distributing work instructions, monitoring performance, and operational costs.
Implement performance monitoring for service providers and develop action plans to ensure targets are met.
Cultivate a safety-first culture by ensuring all Service & Solutions locations are properly risk assessed and that appropriate PPE is utilised.
Ensure Fleet Operators meet the service levels stipulated in their contracts.
Maximise value from our products and services.
Provide necessary training and development for Fleet Operators to excel in their roles.
Manage resources efficiently to meet service targets while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Track operational KPIs and work towards continuous improvement in team performance.
What you will bring:
You’re a confident people manager and have the ability to coach and develop your team.
Strong people skills are crucial for effective management and stakeholder engagement.
Excellent communication skills to interact with external customers, service providers, management, and Fleet Operators.
Business Acumen, ability to forecast, set, and manage substantial budgets confidently.
Computer literate with the capability to use relevant software and technology.
A full driving license and happy to spend 4 days a week on the road and approximately 4 overnight stays per month.
