Job description

Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.

This is a 12-week internships during summer 2025.

The Employee & Workplace Experience (EWX) team focuses on creating and enhancing the places and programs that define and drive Coinbase culture. By influencing the way employees connect, collaborate, and celebrate at Coinbase, the EWX team develops a best-in-class experience for our employees.

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our EWX team for a 3-4 month project-based internship. The ideal candidate will focus on process improvement through a Kaizen initiative, aimed at reducing time waste and streamlining at least one core program to enhance our team's delivery. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to projects that improve both remote and in-person employee experiences.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Assist in the Kaizen project by analyzing and optimizing current processes within the EWX team.
  • Collaborate with program managers and cross-functional stakeholders to gather data and insights.
  • Develop and implement streamlined workflows to improve operational efficiency.
  • Implement documentation standards, SOP templates, and process maps for sustainable and scalable operations.
  • Support in managing project alignment, stakeholder communication, and driving change management strategies.
  • Utilize Google Workspace and other platforms to develop tools for program efficiency and data management.
  • Track and report on key metrics in collaboration with People Analytics to inform future improvements.
What We Look For In You
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree
  • Demonstrated interest in process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace; familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Jira, and Lucidchart is a plus.
Nice to Have
  • Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in in operations management, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Kaizen or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Interest in workplace culture and employee experience programs.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools.
