SOFTSWISS continues to expand the team and is looking for a Technical Operations Engineer (Ruby on Rails). We need a true, experienced, and accomplished professional who shares our culture and values.

L3 team overview

In L3 team we support our product in the most advanced technical way by:

  • Resolving, analyzing, and preventing the most difficult issues by improving usability, architecture, and processes
  • Providing reliability and improving the performance of Casino Platform product
  • Handling structured operational tasks that require clear workflows and attention to detail, contributing to the seamless functioning of our processes
  • Automation and simplification of repeating operations
Key responsibilities:
  • Provide operational support for the application by:
    - setting up integrations, conducting migrations and configuration,
    - running of scripts and CI/CD pipelines following guides,
    - processing of monitoring anomalies,
    - working with app's configuration files.
  • Analyzing of systematic errors and reporting them to L3 Developers
  • Help resolve problems and automate routine as L3 Developer
Also, you will be able to:
  • Develop your technical expertise and become a L3 Support Developer
  • Take an active role in a team dedicated to improving support services, automating workflows, and fostering expertise
Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of:
  • - Ruby/RoR: understanding of basic syntax and frameworks
    - SQL: ability to write and optimize queries
    - Linux: familiarity with the command line and basic operations
    - Git: basic version control and repository management
    - Understanding of modern web-architectures and networking concepts
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring efficient problem-solving and collaboration
  • A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest IT trends
  • Readiness to perform structured and process-oriented tasks
  • A strong motivation to automate repetitive tasks and address root causes of issues
Nice to have:
  • Experience in development or L3 support
  • Understanding of CI/CD
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mind
  • Willingness to constantly develop and share knowledge with the team
  • Experience working with log systems such as ELK, monitoring systems such as Sentry and Datadog, and the ability to read log files or trace errors
  • Experience with data streaming systems and message brokers
  • English level: Pre-Intermediate and higher
