Job description

Job Title: Supply Chain Expert
Location: 100% Remote (Possible face-to-face executive meetings in Portland and/or Chicago, expenses covered)
Hours: Need to assess. It could be part-time (20) or full-time (40).
Candidate needs to specify how many hours they can contribute in a week.
Duration: Short-term need, possibly 6-8 weeks, with a potential start date in early 2025.

Job Summary: The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain technology, market opportunities, and pain points. They will be responsible for optimizing supply chain processes, integrating advanced analytics, and leveraging innovative technologies to drive efficiency and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Opportunity & Pain Points:
- Identify and address key cross-industry pain points such as lack of end-to-end visibility, poor demand forecasting accuracy, manual procurement processes, disconnected systems, rising costs, and limited predictive capabilities.
Technology Integration:
- Identify key technology issues and risks that could prevent the prevent the development of a Analytics solution with the dependency on data integration across supply chain solutions, including ERP system connectors (SAP, Oracle), IoT/sensor data integration, and external data sources.
- Assist in developing a viable POV go-to-market for analytics capabilities in demand forecasting, supply chain network optimization, risk analytics, sustainability metrics, and real-time monitoring.
- POV should include the use of GenAI, ML models, and key user stories and persona's.
  - Utilize natural language interfaces for queries, document analysis, intelligent scenario generation, automated reporting, and anomaly detection.
Success Metrics:
- As part of the POV, include customer success metrics, for example: Improving forecast accuracy by 15-25%, reduce inventory by 20-30%, automate processes by 40-60%, cut costs by 10-15%, and enhance service levels by 5-10%.
