This firm is currently seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to handle legal and administrative tasks in our Debt Defense Division.  This position is fully remote.


Position Title: Debt Defense Legal Assistant


Compensation: $36,000-$45,000/year commensurate with experience


Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to appropriate team member
  • Provide support to partners, attorneys, and paralegals as requested
  • Prepare and file pleadings, discovery, etc.
  • Perform general clerical duties including, but not limited to updating notes in client files, speaking to clients and potential clients, calendaring all pending hearings/deadlines, assisting with overall case management, corresponding with opposing counsel and judicial assistants, etc.
  • Other related duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • College Diploma
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Prior remote work experience (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Problem-solving skills and solutions-oriented outlook
  • Exceptional phone etiquette
  • Punctual at work
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset

Compensation$36,000-$45,000/year commensurate with experience
