Job description

Would you like to be be responsible for shaping and driving the QA vision which includes driving and improving the test automation and performance strategies? 

We are looking for a  QA Architect who will be setting the methodologies and technical directions for new Quality Assurance initiatives. You will support and guide our QA automation engineers and product teams to meet the quality requirements of the Kramp organization. 

 

Kramp Group product development is organized across a multitude of product and platform teams. These teams work independently on improving their specific products but are together responsible for the full workings of our e-Commerce solutions. Apart from working on their products, these teams also work on projects that span multiple teams. Our QA team is set up to help ensure the quality of these projects but play a smaller role in our daily product team developments or overall performance and robustness of our e-Commerce solutions.

 

What is your role?  
To improve the end-to-end quality of our processes, stability of our platform and performance of our services, we need to increase the maturity of our QA practices. This will be the main goal of the QA Architect.  

The QA Architect will report to the Head of Architecture. 

Your specific tasks include: 

  • Vision and strategy: Develop and communicate a clear vision for the QA domain, aligning it with the overall business objectives and ensuring it evolves with industry trends and technological advancements.  

  • Quality objectives and plan: Define the right quality objectives and develop, execute, and review the quality plan to achieve these objectives and improve the quality processes.  

  • Leadership: Lead and mentor the QA engineers. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Test Automation Strategy & Tooling: Define and execute test automation strategy, select the right tools and technologies, and evangelize them across the different teams.  

  • Performance Testing: Define and drive the vision for performance testing, ensuring it aligns with business goals and industry standards. Oversee the development of performance testing strategies and frameworks and ensure their effective implementation by the team.  

  • Defect Management: Establish and communicate a clear vision for defect management processes. Develop strategies for efficient defect tracking and resolution, and ensure these processes are integrated seamlessly into the overall QA strategy.  

  • Continuous Integration: Develop and implement strategies to integrate automated testing into CI pipelines, ensuring rapid and reliable feedback on code quality.  

  • Continuous Improvement: Advocate for and implement continuous improvement in QA processes and methodologies.
     

Who are you?  

  • For this job we have a couple of requirements:   

  • 5+ years of experience in a QA engineering role, preferably as a QA lead  

  • Proven track record of QA processes, test automation, continuous integration, and performance testing  

  • Strong understanding of software development processes and system monitoring solutions.  

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.  

  • Ability to think strategically, form a vision and evangelize this across the organization.  

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identify and address operational challenges.
