Customer Support Intern – IT / Tech

Location: Hybrid, Manchester
Employment Type: Internship
Duration: 10 weeks (starting Monday July 7, 2025)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Customer Support team, focusing on application performance, for a unique learning experience in the dynamic world of financial technology.

As a Customer Support Intern in our Technical Pillar, you’ll focus on supporting IT and Cloud issues . This role is ideal for candidates interested in learning about IT, Microsoft Azure’s cloud architecture and configuration, customer support operations, and diagnostic tools in a high-growth tech environment.

This Internship requires the successful individual to live within easy commutable distance to our Manchester office in Windmill Green, M2 3NN (which is adjacent to the Manchester Central Convention Complex)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Learn the essentials of Microsoft Azure and support process.
• Gain hands-on experience working with customers, troubleshooting issues, and developing effective communication skills.
• Support the team in handling challenging and urgent cases, contributing to timely and effective solutions.
• Assist in enhancing our knowledge base and organizing case categories to streamline data collection and reporting.
• Participate in a special intern project to explore an area for improvement within the Customer Support team.

Required Education and Experience

• Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited UK university, ideally with a minimum of two years (Level 5) of university study completed, or recently graduated (within the last 6-9 months). Postgraduate (Master’s level) students are also welcome to apply.
• Field of Study: Studying towards or holding a degree in Information Technology (Computer Science, Computing or Information Systems).
• Academic Performance: Strong academic record with a minimum of a 2:2 classification or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); some exposure to Microsoft SQL is a plus (full training will be given)
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• A team-oriented mindset.
• Eagerness to learn.

Travel
• 2 days a week in the Manchester office (Tuesday & Thursday), the rest of the time is remote, home based.
