Job description

Are you passionate about making a significant impact on one of our generation's most pressing environmental challenges? Join us in creating and leading a new category in the Climate Tech industry.

About Waterplan

We’re excited to hire a People Lead at Waterplan, a global SaaS B2B enterprise in the climate tech sector. We have been scaling our team quickly since raising our Series A funding round and are committed to building strong People Foundations ahead of the next chapter of our growth. Our mission is not only to grow our business but also to create a significant impact on a global scale, driven by a transcendent purpose to accelerate the transition to a water secure world.

About the role

We care deeply about Employee Experience and feel ready to bring in some expertise to help us build scalable programs and processes that support the development and engagement of our team, influencing teams and leaders across different regions worldwide.

Our People Lead will play a leading role in supporting and coaching our Line Managers, operating as our primary People Business Partner and People problem solver. This role will report to our COO, Olivia, who leads our People & Operations functions globally.

About your core focus

  • Partner directly with Line Managers and Heads of Department: design and implement a cohesive Line Management Philosophy that enables managers—especially first-timers—to lead with consistency, empathy, and equity.

  • People Problem-Solver: Serve as the primary People Business Partner for the organization, supporting Employee Relations with empathy and discretion as we navigate the challenges of a fast-growing team.

  • Talent Strategy Development: Collaborate with business leaders to identify and address talent needs, crafting strategies that ensure the attraction, retention, and development of employees as we scale.

  • Onboarding & Lifecycle Management: Be the go-to person for new hires, guiding them through onboarding and serving as their point of contact throughout their journey at Waterplan.

  • Process Optimization:

    • Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance employee skills and prepare them for future roles.

    • Implement and manage performance evaluation systems, providing continuous feedback to help employees achieve their goals.

    • Support the design and implementation of organizational structures that promote growth and scalability.

    • Advise on compensation structures, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Lead the charge on measuring and improving Employee Engagement. Use your analytical skills to interpret employee feedback (via eNPS, onboarding, surveys, etc.) and provide actionable insights that enhance the team’s overall experience.

  • Culture, DEI, & Engagement: Help drive our evolving culture while championing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, ensuring that Waterplan remains a place where everyone feels valued and heard.

Your Profile

  • 7+ years of experience in a People/HR role, ideally you’ll have experience both in the start-up world (<150 headcount) and at a larger scale company. We’d love for someone to have seen People best practice operating at scale, but also to have the sharp skill-set needed for this hands-on role in our very dynamic environment. Early stage startup experience is a plus.

  • Proven experience collaborating with line managers (and ideally leaders at Head/Director level) in an HRBP capacity; you’ll be able to demonstrate your experience leading on action plans and driving Employee Relations cases to successful outcomes.

  • Previous experience working at international and global companies where you have dealt with challenges on a global scale.

  • Desire to constantly improve processes, working autonomously with a great sense of ownership (e.g. if you see something is broken, you’re the type of person who will go and fix it!).

  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills, with the ability to organize effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience designing and implementing policies that reflect a company’s culture, values, and stage of growth, particularly in high-growth start-ups.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex HR concepts into practical solutions that resonate with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Comfortable with the demands of working in a data-driven environment, while we don’t need you to be a data scientist, we do feel it is super important for our People Lead to have some solid data analysis skills and we’d love to hear how you’ve put data front-and-center of your People work.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, in Spanish and English

  • Be located in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Why Join Waterplan?
