About the role:
As a Tech Lead at Nirvana, you will:
Lead and Innovate: Take charge of pivotal product areas and guide them from concept to completion with a customer-driven focus. You'll work on transformative products like our fleet safety AI coach, which uses AI and IoT data to enhance road safety and cut costs for our customers. Additionally, you'll play a key role in developing consumer grade software for claims, payments, and insurance management, powered by AI models that streamline traditionally manual processes, ensuring faster turnarounds and a superior customer experience.

Key responsibilities:
Lead the development of multiple consumer-facing products, including IoT enabled claims processing, fleet safety software, payments, and policy management
Provide technical direction and mentorship to a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality code and scalable, maintainable solutions.
Drive the architectural design and technical strategy for key projects.
Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with product managers and other stakeholders.
Align technical strategies with the overall business vision and goals.
About you:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4 - 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on consumer-facing products.
Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Has been leading complex projects with 2-5 people for at least 1 year.
Has worked with product managers on planning and roadmap development.
Has proven experience leading a major product area.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and real-time data processing.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Benefits:
We set our salary ranges using compensation data from companies similar to our stage and size. For this role, the estimated salary range for this position is $170,000 - $210,000. In addition, Nirvana offers equity for all full-time employees, which is not included in the range listed above and will have a significant impact on your overall compensation. The actual base salary will vary depending on multiple factors unique to each candidate, including location, job-related knowledge, transferable skills, work experience and our assessment of your level during the interview process.
