We have a new exciting opportunity for a Field Software Configuration Engineer who will travel and support our clients mainly working on EPMS/DCIM/SCADA projects.

What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for providing hardware/software installation, startup, maintenance, de-bug and training .

This is a remote role with frequent travel to our customers in Dublin area . Occasional travel to other EMEA locations will be required.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site hardware/software installation and software pre-configuration of Power Management and control systems and next-generation Power Monitoring platforms
Work with software configuration engineer on site to implement system integration, installation, start-up, maintenance, de-bugging, pre-configuration, pre-commissioning, FAT. SAT and training
Work with and provides troubleshooting and technical support for junior Field Service Representatives as they execute jobs in the field
Technical support to other junior engineers. problem-solving the technical issues on site
Support lead engineer with a practical solution and execution plan on site
Demonstrate safety consciousness in equipment handling, electrical and electronic procedures, and the unique situations encountered at diverse work sites. Assist with procurement and maintenance of PPE for field resources
Provide customers with basic technical support and on-site information via phone or on-site consultation

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science or other related subject
Familiarity with EPMS/DCIM/ BMS software offerings as well as associated products such as SQL and MS/Linux OS
Virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V)
Previous experience in a relevant support function ideally in a Data center set up
