POSITION SUMMARY

Our Sales Development team is growing and we are looking for a Manager of Sales Development in Boston! Harness is looking for leaders who are passionate about coaching & developing young sales professionals into future AE’s and leaders in our sales org. In this role, you will not only hire, coach, train and mentor SDRs but you will also partner cross functionally with marketing, sales, enablement, and revenue operations with the main goal to drive pipeline generation and revenue for the business.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Hire, manage, mentor, coach and train a team of Sales Development Representatives.
  • Collaborate with recruiting to interview and hire driven, goal oriented & motivated SDRs.
  • Execute SDR onboarding and continuous enablement with the help of sales enablement.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize SDR processes for pipeline generation.
  • Motivate SDRs and the team to exceed objectives through coaching, regular broadcast of results, and creative incentives to meet all goals.
  • Identify ways to increase the quality and quantity of opportunities sent to Account Executives, tracking the handoff process and progress of opportunities through the pipeline.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Leaders to ensure strategic SDR support.
  • Analyze team and individual metrics to maximize efficiency and productivity. Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure SDRs are achieving targets and developing skills that will prepare them for their next role.

ABOUT YOU

  • 3+ years of SDR/ SaaS sales experience as a top performer and/or minimum of 2+ years of sales enablement and sales training.
  • Prior experience in a closing AE role
  • Prior experience managing a team of SDRs
  • Passionate about coaching, training and team management.
  • Fearless attitude and ability to lead by example.
  • Ability to organize and make sense of data to make data driven decisions.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Mentoring skills - ability to identify strengths and gaps, and develop strategies for continual improvement. Motivated by helping people grow.
  • Able to work across the organization with a diverse team.
  • BA in Business and/or Sales & Marketing experience preferred.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000 annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.  The compensation package for this position also includes a commission/variable component, which is based on performance, plus equity, and benefits.
