Position Overview:

The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting HR operations by ensuring smooth benefits administration, managing payroll-related activities, handling employee offboarding, and maintaining compliance. This role will also serve as a primary contact for managing benefits tickets through Jira, assisting with payroll reporting, and liaising with the accounting team on benefits billing.

What you will work on:
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Day to day employee enrollments, qualifying events and updating systems
    • Coordinate with the accounting team to process benefits bills accurately and on time.
    • Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and escalate to brokers as needed.
  • Payroll & Leave Management:
    • Support payroll reporting processes, including tracking and submitting necessary data.
    • Provide support on ad hoc payroll needs and special requests.
    • Coordinate and manage employee leave programs (STD, FMLA) and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Compliance:
    • Responsible for the organization's compliance and regulatory programming and reporting
    • Accountable for annual audits and providing required information to stakeholders in a timely manner
    • Maintain accurate records and assist with compliance-related tasks.
    • Stay updated on relevant HR policies and compliance requirements.
  • HR Support & Data Management:
    • Provide administrative support to HR Business Partners, including but not limited to:
  • Responsible for data entry and updates within the HRIS system for areas such as compensation, employee profile management, personnel information and policy assignments
  • Accountable for ensuring data accuracy and timely updates to support HR initiatives and reporting needs.
  • Analyze HR data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to HRBPs.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned for business needs, and in support of HR programs and initiatives
  • Immigration & Compliance:
    • Coordinate and manage immigration processes, including H1-B applications, renewals, and liaising with external counsel.
    • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, including EEOC, FMLA, and ADA requirements.
    • Conduct compliance audits and recommend improvements to processes or policies.
  • Company Intranet Management related to Benefits:
    • Create, record, and distribute HR content on the intranet to keep employees informed of HR updates and initiatives.
    • Manage ongoing HR content to ensure relevance and accessibility for employees.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in HR administration, payroll, or benefits coordination.
  • Familiarity with benefits systems, ticketing tools (like Jira), HRIS, and payroll software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Critical and tactical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements:
  • 95% Phone/Desk work
  • 5% Travel

  • Competitive compensation, with a base salary of $65,000 - $80,000 (Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience)
