Overview:
Lifeway Marketing is hiring a Marketing Strategist to support our Adult Ministries. If you want to leverage your experience in marketing and have a passion to help adult-focused church leaders and small group leaders in discipleship, this could be the perfect role for you. The Marketing Strategist develops and executes marketing plans for discipleship initiatives, ongoing and short-term discipleship projects, as well as our Black Church initiatives, podcasts, and YOU curriculum.
This role involves extensive cross-functional communication and partnership across teams. The right person will have the ability to relate well on a team, work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently.
The ideal candidate is someone with proven experience designing customized, multi-channel, integrated marketing campaigns that achieve revenue goals. The candidate is also a talented individual who can provide innovative, comprehensive marketing strategy while maintaining day-to-day tasks.

This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings. #LI-Remote
Responsibilities:
As a Marketing Strategist you will:
- Live out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work
- Develop marketing strategy to achieve objectives for assigned brands using all relevant, available marketing disciplines.
- Identify and understand appropriate customer segmentation, business needs, and critical objectives for assigned brands.
- Lead campaign development and develop creative briefs to prepare the marketing for campaign implementation.
- Proof campaign elements for adherence to campaign concept and overarching brand message and goals.
- Lead our team in setting up and marketing our products on trade sites such as Amazon and Christianbook.com as well as Lifeway.com.
- Serve as the liaison between the marketing team, publishing team and creative team.
- Occasionally travel for conferences and meetings, occasionally overnight.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's Degree Marketing, Business Management, Communication, or similar
Skills, Experience, & Knowledge, required
- 3 years marketing experience, agency or corporate
- 3 years creating cohesive, multichannel marketing strategy that drives revenue
- 3 years leading creative project teams in a marketing environment
- Exceptional communication, presentation and relationship building skills
- Demonstrated ability to proactively learn and remain current with marketing trends
Member of or attending an evangelical Christian or Black Protestant church
Skills, Experience, & Knowledge, preferred
- Marketing strategy in a publishing environment
- Experience as a local church leader; staff, or lay leader role
- Experience maintaining social media, blogs, or other digital media platforms
