What You Will Do:
- Upgrade RHEL 7x to RHEL 8 using LEAPP and Ansible playbooks
- Upgrade RHEL 6 to RHEL 7
- Work autonomously, only requiring “expert” level technical support from others.
- Exercise judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures.
- Be able to build servers from scratch, including OS installation, setup LDAP, setup security, etc.
- Write Ansible scripts to automate recurring manual steps.
- Provide emergency production support during non-business hours in case of critical
Skills and Experience You Will Need:
Required:
- Knowledge of ITIL production support best practices
- Automation Ansible Playbook with roles experience
- Extensively RHEL OS Build & installation
- Familiar with Kerberos Authentication
- Production support experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of operating system hardening
- RHEL 6 - 8 administration and Oracle Linux
- Grub/Grub2 configuration
- RHEL 6x to RHEL 7x upgrades
- RHEL 7 to RHEL 8 upgrades using LEAPP.
- LEAPP Pre/post Upgrade report reviewing and resolution
- Experience with GitHub
- Experience with Jira
- Knowledge of Splunk, Dynatrace, Extra hop monitoring tools
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Harness
Desired
- Strong understanding of multi-tier architecture and infrastructure configurations
- Experience in Agile and DevOps environments and cultures.
- High availability cluster setup & Troubleshooting
- Agile Methodology, working in sprints experience
- Familiar with ServiceNow tool

- Knowledge of other Linux distros is advantageous

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field plus 2 years of hands-on experience

- Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
