Skills and Experience You Will Need:
Required
- Overall experience: 10+ years. This is a senior role.
- SQL Server DBA Experience: 3+ years working as a SQL Server DBA in an enterprise environment, with hands-on experience across versions 2012–2022.
- Database Design & Implementation: Expertise in server partition design, SQL Server HA/DR solutions (Always On, replication, mirroring, log shipping), and large database migration strategies.
- SQL Server Upgrades & Backup: Experience with SQL in-place upgrades on both VM and physical servers, as well as managing backup processes and procedures.
- Capacity Planning & Performance: Knowledge of database capacity planning and optimization.
- Communication & Documentation: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to document standard operational procedures and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving & Collaboration: Ability to manage multiple priorities and incidents, work autonomously, and collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to solve problems.
- Mentorship & Teamwork: Experience working with global teams, coaching, and mentoring colleagues as needed.
- Self-Motivated & Growth-Oriented: Proactive, "out-of-the-box" thinker with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
Desired:
- Knowledge and experience on SQL Server service broker troubleshooting
- Knowledge and experience with database management and monitoring tools
- Other Database Platform (Oracle, DB2, etc.) skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or information technology or equivalent work experience

- Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed
- Must be able to work on-site (corporate/client offices), as needed (not applicable for 100% remote roles)
