The Cisco Meraki team is seeking a creative and driven Technical Marketing Engineer to support product management activities within the Secure SD-WAN team. This team covers product areas such as IP addressing, routing, firewalling, universal threat management, SD-WAN and more. Your mission will be to strengthen the network services for Meraki’s Secure SD-WAN portfolio. You will collaborate with Engineering, Security, Legal, other Meraki product teams and the wider Cisco teams.

What you will do

As a Technical Marketing Engineer, you are the authority on the product and ensure continued success by driving feature development, customer issues, and large scale infrastructure projects. You will connect with our Sales team to ensure we continue to grow our happy customer base. You will work together with our Support team to analyze and resolve critical issues. You will own the product and will handle every aspect necessary to ensure it is #1 in the market.

Meraki is changing the way the industry thinks about networking, and you will lead the charge to continue the evolution. You will team up with forward-thinking engineers and excited customers to help ensure that we have the best user experience and the most advanced cloud platform in the industry!

Responsibilities
  • Be the domain authority and key technical advisor for the Meraki Secure SD-WAN
  • Represent the product’s features, roadmap and strategy to partners, customers, and executives
  • Work various teams through design, development, testing, launch, and iteration for privacy, security, and compliance capabilities
  • Drive cross team initiatives, investigations of customer issues and understanding feature requests
  • Produce best practice documents, and deployment guides for internal and external use across the company
  • Build relationships with our Sales team and customers, and act as the primary technical point of contact for some of our most complex deployments
  • Serve as the technical authority on IPv6 networking within the Secure SD-WAN product
  • Educate partners, customers, and internal teams on IPv6 adoption, transition strategies from IPv4, and the benefits of modern routing techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the Secure SD-WAN products fully support IPv6 and advanced routing features, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
What we're looking for
  • Degree in CS, EE, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of work experience in software development, networking or network security
  • Experience in technical support, product testing, or QA preferred
  • Experience with IPv6 transition mechanisms and dual-stack configurations.
  • Proven experience in networking with a specific focus on IPv6, plus routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
  • Deep understanding of IPv6, including addressing, subnetting, and routing implications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in the context of network design.
  • Ability to create clear, concise technical documentation and training materials.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical details to a range of audiences, including those without a technical background.
  • A proactive approach to staying updated on the latest networking trends and technologies, especially as they relate to IPv6 and routing.
  • You have a strong sense of customer empathy and care deeply about top customer problems
  • You are able to easily communicate complicated concepts to non-technical people
