What we’re looking for
Vacasa is looking for a Lead Product Manager driving Channel Management. You will own the strategy, roadmap, and product delivery to support distributing Vacasa inventory on all channels including Airbnb, VRBO, Vacasa.com and many others. As part of this role you will also own the relationship management for the technical integrations with OTAs and any channel managers we distribute through. This role will work with engineering teams to improve API integrations across channels and channel managers.
Along with the ownership of the Channel Management roadmap this role will work closely with the Revenue Management team at Vacasa to ensure that we enable key functionality across channels to increase conversion and revenue through levers such as rate plans, promotions and other critical RM functionality. This role will work with the Data Science & Machine Learning organization to ensure that internal Vacasa Revenue Management tooling is able to take advantage of newly unlocked channel capabilities to realize improvements in occupancy, ADR and overall revenue.

What you'll do
- Partner with business and product leadership to define the long-term vision and set the strategy for the Vacasa’s channel management and revenue management product areas, and inspire stakeholders to execute.
- Gather business requirements, understand the role and experience of channel and RM end users and owners, while executing in partnership with business line leadership.
- Based on your own insights and vision, recommend new channel and revenue management capabilities to drive distribution and revenue.
- Work with an amazing multi-disciplinary team across engineering, channels, revenue management, data science, finance and legal to deliver high quality solutions.
- Exercise sound decision making and sensible prioritization by determining what we should do, why, and when.
- Act as a product champion to drive effective change management across the organization
Skills you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in product management in dynamic, complex environments working with platform APIs
- Ideally experience working directly in travel or inventory distribution.
- Strong project management skills to align with internal Vacasa stakeholders, external vendors at OTAs and channels as well as engineering teams to execute quickly and efficiently.
- Comfortable with details, data and learning new technologies.

- Strong product sense - you have deep empathy for customers, well defined taste, and the ability to partner with UX and front-end developers to translate customer problems and insights into meaningful and frictionless experiences.

- Metrics and impact driven – you have a keen sense of what’s important to the business, use data to uncover problems and make strategic tradeoff decisions, and measure the impact you and your team are driving.
- Strong communication skills - you are an active listener, have a talent for succinctly and persuasively articulating your ideas, and a calm and collected executive presence that builds trust with stakeholders.
- Relationship management - you are comfortable and familiar working with key stakeholders and peers at 3rd party companies and you are able to articulate the needs of Vacasa to help influence roadmap decisions.
- Technical expertise and aptitude - you have experience with Agile development methodologies, an understanding of software development best practices, and the technical chops to advise and evaluate engineering decisions.
Compensation:
- $125000 - $165000 / year. Actual pay will vary based on a candidate's skill, experience, education and/or location.
