THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an exciting time to join Venterra. We are seeking to build on Venterra’s current success and continue to position the organization as a leader in the use of technology.

Our key technology is our Property Management System (PMS) that is a mesh of our own greenfield software and third-party integrations. In support of Venterra’s growth plan, the Technology Team is in the process of executing a digital transformation of its platform to leverage AI and automation to enable the business to scale its operations to support growth.

Venterra is looking for a Product Manager to take ownership of a large part of our PMS platform to navigate rapid changes to our property operations technology to support our digital transformation. This person will be the bridge between the development team and the business stakeholders to ensure that the solutions being developed meet business needs and ensure that there is alignment between various stakeholders involved.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A player/coach that balances individual contributions to product development with leadership and mentorship of the product team, to reach goals and achieve deliverables.
Contribute to best practices for product functional requirement and solutions design.
Build relationships with technology and business stakeholders to facilitate cross team collaboration.
Collect and analyze feedback from users and stakeholders to shape requirements, features and end products. Feedback should be collected through a variety of means, including 1:1 meetings, surveys, town halls, etc.
Work with senior stakeholders to contribute to product/project plans, key metrics and roadmaps.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Post-secondary degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or similar field.
10+ years in a technology-oriented Product role with experience building and launching technology products.
Experience Managing technology product or a digital journey end-to-end, from inception to delivery.
3+ years leadership experience either in a people leadership role or in a matrix organizational structure; Ability working with or leading Agile/Scrum, Software Engineering, UX/UI Design..
Technical skills are not required but offer huge value in this role. The candidate should have experience with Atlassian based products (Jira, Confluence), and an extensive understanding of the software development lifecycle. Software development skills, while not necessary, are valued.
Experience with Real Estate Technology or PropTech is an asset, but not required.
Skilled collaborator who can break down complex problems and turn them into simple, user-centric solutions, and deliver the requirements clearly and effectively to stakeholders and software engineering teams.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
Leader capable of managing and executing Product Management functions.
Outstanding planning, organizational and time management skills. Be able to manage multiple competing priorities.
