Job Summary

Responsible for assisting the Director of Contracting with ensuring all GPO/Local contracts are up to date and maximizing savings, in accordance with category strategy, professional standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Identifies contract opportunities for products/services contributing to standardization of products, higher levels of quality patient experience/care delivery, and overall cost reduction which could result in significant cost savings for the facility. Facilitates the understanding of local contract details with ULH Leaders. Maintains terms and conditions for purchased services agreements and contracts. Helps to organize and maintain a centralized contract database of all local purchasing contracts. Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations on service sourcing strategies, practices, and procedures. Assists Supply Chain Management in the administration of the supply/equipment contract portfolio, contract compliance and utilization reports. Other duties as assigned.

 

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Contracting, this position will provide contractual support, including:

• Identifies contract opportunities for products/services contributing to standardization of products, higher levels of quality patient experience/care delivery, and overall cost reduction which could result in significant cost savings for the facility.
•  Load GPO/Local Contracts
•  Write local contracts/Activate Premier contracts
•  Renew existing contracts as needed

• Keen understanding of hospital and other general health care operations and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of computer operations and PC utilization, including database software, spreadsheet software, and Windows operating systems.
• Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct.
• Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferred.
