A successful candidate will have the following:

FH is seeking an experienced Public Resource Development (PRD) Manager to collaborate across the organization to develop and execute a business development strategy and oversee the timely development and delivery of high-quality grant proposals. The qualified PRD Manager will have 7+ years of experience. Additionally, they will have either a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 9 years of relevant experience or master’s degree and at least 7 years of experience. They will have a proven successful track record with proposals to USAID, other USG funders, and/or other large international donors.

    Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, coordinate, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Ability to build strong team relationships with HQ and field-based colleagues.

    Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

What you’ll do…

As the PRD Manager, you will:

    Serve as Team Leader, supervising mid- and junior-level staff and working collaboratively with the Regional Director and other members of the portfolio team to set and execute the region’s new business agenda.

    Manage proposal development for proposals, including comprehensive pre-positioning for proposals and managing live proposals.

    Gather technical input and competitive intelligence from country offices, technical units, subject matter specialists, and other resource persons.

    Work with country representatives, technical leads, other staff, and consultants to conceptualize and design proposals for new projects and/or follow-on funding to current projects. 

    Facilitate the development of strategic partnerships with other organizations and donors.

    Maintain accurate information about business development opportunities in internal databases 

    Lead, mentor, and manage a team of recruiters, providing guidance and support in all aspects of the recruitment process.

    Write sections of proposals and/or full proposals as appropriate; edit and proofread proposals.
