We Are Hiring At Jewish Hospital, Operating Room

Location: 200 Abraham Flexner Way Louisville, KY 40202

Shift: Full Time, First

 

About the unit

The Surgical Services Department at Jewish Hospital consists of the following three areas: Main Hospital; Heart Hospital; and Outpatient Care Center, which includes the Hand Care Center. Surgical Services is open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year to ensure all surgeries, including emergencies, are completed and the community’s health needs are met. Our service lines include Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Robotics, General, Colorectal, Urology, Transplant, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, Dental, Plastics, Hands, and Oral Maxillofacial. In total, we have 30 operating rooms, 2 of which are considered Hybrid rooms equipped to perform endovascular, robotic, and cardiothoracic surgeries. Our staff take pride in offering excellent care to our patients, as well as their families.

 

About Jewish Hospital

Jewish Hospital, part of UofL Health, is an internationally renowned, high-tech tertiary referral center, developing leading-edge advancements in hand and microsurgery, heart and lung care, orthopedics and sports medicine, neuroscience, organ transplantation and outpatient care. Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technician vocational or technical program/school.
  • Completion of a UofL Health surgical technologist program.
  • Completion of a hospital based surgical technologist training program. 
  • Graduates of a military training program in surgical technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
  • One year experience in operating room as surgical technician or clinical rotations at University Hospital.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CST – Certified Surgical Technician
