As a Sales Science Analyst II, your essential job functions will include the following:

Gather, Manage and Understand Data

  • Identify the components of a problem and apply appropriate analytical techniques to create actionable conclusions—These techniques will include statistical analysis, forecasting and mathematical modeling
  • Define the goals of analysis activities and coordinate the collection of appropriate data from databases—Understand and assess business situations from an information perspective
  • Work collaboratively with members of the sales team to analyze data and possible implications

Reporting and Support

  • Manage the design of sales reporting tools, including automation of reporting, and the building of new metrics and dashboards
  • Assemble and distribute operational reports and performance metrics—Provide managers with interpretations of reports and assist them in understanding underlying data
  • Maintain and audit critical sales data through the appropriate IT systems and departments
  • Serve as the internal end-user point of contact for ad hoc information requests
  • Support the information solutions team with implementation of new processes and workflows
  • Maintain reporting standards and implement across the entire sales operations team

Recommendations and Implementation

  • Participate in management of technical, strategic projects with initiative—Assist with complete and timely communication of progress, coordinating necessary resources and proactively resolving hurdles to progress by bringing challenges to management attention along with possible solutions
  • Collaborate with Management and Sales staff to identify and pursue performance improvement opportunities, strategic initiatives and development of new capabilities—clearly outline options and recommended courses of action, and support implementation
  • Share expertise and consult, when needed, on interdepartmental projects

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience -OR- an advanced degree with 1-3 years of experience in a technical/analytical role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Works with sense of urgency
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Effective in communicating technical concepts
  • Strong intellectual curiosity
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, VBA)
  • Proficient in statistical/analytical software and appropriate programming languages for automation (90% R, 10% Python)
  • Proficient in data-access languages (SQL, SOQL)
  • Proficient in OBIEE data and reporting platform
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or Google Analytics platforms is a plus

Base Pay Range:

$77,000 - $90,000
