The Director of Pricing will oversee the development and execution of pricing strategies that enhance profitability and competitive positioning. This role will require an expert in analytics and market intelligence, with the capability to build and manage tools such as deal calculators and a deal pricing hub. The successful candidate will analyze divisional needs and deal characteristics to optimize pricing decisions across various product lines, including, but not limited to clinical staffing (perm, locums, allied), credentialing, telehealth, and tech enabled clinical provider solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Strategy Development:

  • Design and implement comprehensive pricing strategies that align with business objectives and market conditions.

  • Create and manage a centralized deal pricing hub that standardizes pricing processes and ensures accessibility for sales teams.

  • Build and manage effective strategies around divisional work units to allow streamlining and automation, while maintaining margin priorities

  • Provide insights to executive leadership on pricing opportunities and risks.

  • Deal Calculator Development:

  • Lead the development of an effective deal calculator to streamline pricing proposals and enhance efficiency in deal structuring.

  • Ensure the deal calculator incorporates key variables, such as costs, margins, and competitor pricing, to provide accurate and competitive quotes.

  • Analytics and Reporting:

  • Leverage data analytics to track pricing performance, deal profitability, and market trends to inform strategic decisions.

  • Generate detailed reports on pricing effectiveness, including analysis of divisional performance and specific deal characteristics.

  • Prepare financial models to forecast the impact of pricing changes on revenue and profitability.

  • Market Intelligence and Insights:

  • Conduct thorough market research to gather insights on competitors, industry trends, and customer preferences.

  • Conduct health economic evaluations, including cost-effectiveness and cost benefit analysis.

  • Develop competitive analysis reports that identify pricing opportunities and threats, informing strategic adjustments.

  • Collaboration Across Divisions:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and product management, to ensure that pricing strategies meet divisional objectives.

  • Provide insights and recommendations for pricing adjustments based on divisional dynamics and specific deal characteristics.

  • Oversee the development of pricing policies and governance frameworks.

  • Team Leadership and Development:

  • Mentor and lead a team of pricing analysts, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Provide training on pricing tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance team capabilities.

  • Innovation in Pricing Tools:

  • Stay abreast of advancements in pricing technology and data analytics tools to continuously improve pricing processes and decision-making.

  • Evaluate new software solutions that can enhance the functionality of the deal pricing hub and deal calculator.

Qualifications:

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Proficient in data analysis and economic modeling

  • Familiarity with healthcare analytics and business intelligence tools

  • Knowledge of healthcare market trends for provider, payers, and related healthcare organizations

  • Healthcare, clinical staffing and provider knowledge is preferred.

  • Proven experience building pricing tools, including deal calculators and pricing hubs.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficient in data analysis, statistical software, and modeling tools

  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • In-depth understanding of market intelligence methodologies and competitor analysis.

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory environment and reimbursement systems

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • 7-10 years of experience in pricing strategy, analytics, or business strategy, economics, or financial analysis

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree.

We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $128,000 -- $310,100 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location. 

CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
