Job Summary:

Provides direct back up support for Premium Billing and Dunning processes. Assists with questions and complex issues relating to employer group payments.

Job Duties:

  • Reviews Billing files for errors
  • Reviews Billing data for accuracy.
  • Sets up customers, billing contracts, and billing schedules utilizing data from various sources.
  • Monitor customer billing contacts for renewals and makes updates to billing/contract configuration as needed.
  • Process and e-mail or mail invoices on a monthly or ad hoc basis for numerous non-patient programs.
  • Apply payments to customer accounts.
  • Identifies and documents all components of the receivable balance with minimal errors.
  • Works to recover or resolve outstanding debits and credits.
  • Adjusts customer accounts by entering billing adjustments and bad debt writeoffs.
  • Performs monthly analysis of the Billing Aging reports to identify miscellaneous open invoices or balances.
  • Determines the disposition and takes the necessary action to resolve the aging or relieve the receivables.
  • Reviews the Dunning Reports and Notices.
  • Compiles and generates spreadsheets capturing key data for the dunning process.
  • Provides thorough research of individual accounts involving multiple systems to ensure billing is accurate.
  • Upload invoices and backup to external websites as needed.
  • Handles various reconciliation processes.
  • Assist accountants with reconciliation to general ledger as needed.
  • Prepares refund requests when a customer has a credit balance appearing on their account.
  • Creates payment histories upon request or whenever necessary to justify account balances for individual members and employer groups.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required), Associate's Degree- (Preferred)

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years-Healthcare (Required), Minimum of 1 year-Customer Service (Required)
