About Salesforce

We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.

As a Product Manager, you will develop the strategy and own the product roadmap and vision for product usage data. We provide insights that fuel critical decisions across the company, including executive leadership that uses them to set strategic directions for Salesforce! You'll be working closely with various collaborators to develop an understanding of internal customer use cases and work with our engineering architects to implement your roadmap. You will work through ambiguity to be able to get results while leaning on relationships with key internal partners to align priorities and provide prioritized use cases for our engineers

As the Director, Product Management, you will be part of the Government Cloud Product Management team.  Your primary focus will be to develop long-range solutions and product strategies supported by financial projections and investment justification in collaboration with the Government Cloud GM, Cloud leaders, and Distribution teams.  You will work closely with a cross-functional team, leading and providing data-driven insights on Government markets to inform product investment/roadmap, pricing, and go-to-market strategies. You will work through ambiguity to be able to get results while leaning on relationships with key internal partners to align priorities and provide prioritized use cases for our product managers and engineers.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional business, analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills and be comfortable interacting with all levels across multiple organizations, including Sales, Technology, Marketing, & Product, Compliance, and Security teams.

Your Impact

  • Define and develop key business insights, drive scalable growth strategies, and help support the execution of the Government Cloud and Solutions

  • Provide data-driven analysis and market research to help build out long-range plans, product roadmaps, product pricing and packaging, investment business cases, and inform Government go-to-market strategies

  • Develop booking and revenue projections and track ACV performance against targets for developed solutions and products

  • Gather the voice of the customer and provide insights and feedback into the product roadmap and industry solutions

  • Evaluate the performance of current product operations and recommend strategies and tactics to achieve business goals

  • Engage with customers, partners, and ISVs, along with product ambassadors from across Salesforce to prioritize the right products and/or features to enable in Government Cloud environments

  • Stay abreast of and share Government industry, competitor, partner, and customer behavior trends that can impact Salesforce

  • Represent Salesforce as a product expert at customer interactions, industry and corporate events, community sites and social media.

Required Skills

  • Significant experience leading complex, cross-functional projects with multiple internal partner organizations

  • Strong relationship-building skills and experience working closely with senior executives, the ability to develop strong working relationships with other business functions quickly to operationalize key strategic initiatives.

  • Highly analytical, good at breaking down problems and delivering actions

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a dynamic business landscape

  • Willingness to learn and comprehend Enterprise architecture

  • Product Management skills and business acumen around the building and launching of products

  • Ability to work in a team of other PMs who have dependencies on you and vice versa. Others would leverage much of what you work on with corresponding needs for their functionality.

  • Ability to work with Development Engineers, Quality Engineers, User Experience specialists, and Content Experience specialists day in and day out to provide direction, prioritization, detail out epics/user stories and ensure successful delivery

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance; M.B.A. or other advanced technical degree strongly preferred

  • 10 - 12+ years experience in supporting Government consulting or strategy/analysis at a tech company
