Title: Director of Route To Market, Trade Marketing 

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Reports to: VP of Trade Marketing 

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 + Bonus 

 

Job Summary:

The Director of Route to Market is a pivotal leadership role within our Trade Marketing Team, responsible for creating, deploying, and educating the sales execution guide for each marketing campaign period. This role also involves driving the execution and success of marketing campaigns and retail programs, managing internal and external sales incentives, overseeing display execution and feedback, coordinating various out-of-home (OOH) efforts, and collaborating with the sales team to develop joint marketing plans. Additionally, the Director will develop success metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and work with the analytics team to gather market feedback.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • This position does have direct supervisory responsibilities, overseeing and guiding the performance of team members within the assigned department. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive sales execution guides for each marketing campaign period, providing sales teams with clear instructions and strategies to go to market. 
  • Deploy and evaluate market tools such as POS, Sell Sheets, Displays to the sales team and ensure understanding through effective education and training sessions.
  • Work with consumer/shopper insights to create impactful selling tools 
  • Ensure seamless execution of campaigns across various channels by collaborating with the marketing team.
  • Develop and manage internal and external sales incentives to motivate sales teams and drive performance.
  • Monitor incentive programs to ensure effectiveness and make adjustments to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Coordinate OOH advertising efforts, including truck wraps and billboards, to maximize brand visibility.
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for synergy between marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Work with the analytics team to create market surveys and gather feedback from campaigns.
  • Utilize survey data and feedback to refine marketing strategies and improve campaign performance.

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in trade marketing, retail execution, or related field sales.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and ability to translate insights into actionable initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing internal and external sales incentives programs.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor management and coordinating OOH advertising efforts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
