eLearning Developer

Join our client's team as a talented and creative eLearning Developer with a strong emphasis on graphic design to produce visually compelling online learning experiences. This exciting role offers an opportunity for a skilled professional to leverage graphic design expertise alongside eLearning technology to transform educational content into engaging digital formats.

Role Overview

• Location: Remote (US based only)
• Commitment: Contract, up to 20 hours per week
• Duration: 2 months
• Start Date: Immediately
• Compensation: $50-$55 per hour (1099)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive eLearning modules utilizing Articulate Storyline and other authoring tools, integrating custom graphics that enhance user engagement.
• Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to bring their design visions to life through creative and innovative graphical elements.
• Create custom illustrations, iconography, and cartoons to reinforce learning outcomes and improve content comprehension.
• Ensure all designs are visually appealing, accessible, and optimized for a multi-device experience.
• Participate in quality assurance testing to ensure seamless integration and functionality of visual elements within eLearning materials.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience with Articulate Storyline and other eLearning development tools.
• Strong graphic design skills with a portfolio showcasing custom graphics, animations, and visual storytelling techniques.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and animation tools.
• Understanding of instructional design principles and the ability to apply them to visual design.
• Exceptional communication and project management skills with a focus on creative collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing accessible eLearning content that adheres to WCAG guidelines.
• Background in multimedia design and experience using video editing software.
• Knowledge of LMS integration, SCORM, and xAPI compatibility.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript in creating interactive graphics.
