Job description

North One is seeking a Senior Product Growth Manager to join our high-performing team 🚀. As a remote-first, venture-backed startup driving the FinTech movement, we're reshaping financial services and banking for small businesses across America. Backed by top VCs, we tackle impactful challenges and focus on making a significant difference for our customers.

About North One and Our Mission

North One is a business banking and financial management platform for small businesses across America. We go beyond simplifying banking; we’re redefining what financial management can be by creating solutions that lead to better financial outcomes. Our vision is to be the digital finance department for every small business in America, built on a solid banking foundation.

Our mission is to enable every small business to thrive by connecting business banking with financial management, allowing anyone to take charge of their economic independence. We deeply believe in the transformative power of entrepreneurship and aim to make this power accessible to all.

About the Role

As our Senior Product Growth Manager, you'll work directly with our leadership team, reporting to our Head of Product. You’ll join a team of high-caliber professionals from Chime, Twitter, Instacart, E-Trade, McKinsey, Etsy, and eBay. If you're ready to make a significant impact, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Growth Strategy & Execution: Work closely with head of growth to design and lead growth strategies, focusing on optimizing the onboarding, engagement and retention, leveraging product experiments and lifecycle management across digital channels (in-app, SMS, email, push notifications).
  • Data-Driven Insights: Set up tracking, perform analyses, and drive A/B testing to identify growth opportunities, test product and feature changes, and iterate on approaches based on customer feedback and data insights.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Marketing, UX, Data, and Customer Success teams to optimize user flows, reduce friction, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Customer-Centric Product Development: Utilize qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer needs, identify user experience gaps, and prioritize product adjustments to increase customer engagement and retention.
  • Outcomes-Based Planning: Drive quarterly outcome-driven planning and support domain strategy formulation with cross-functional partners.
  • Market Research & Feedback Integration: Maintain direct connections with customers and customer success, leveraging insights to refine and enhance product-market fit.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Successful experience in Growth Product Management: 5+ years as a Growth-focused Product Manager in B2B or B2C SaaS or FinTech, preferably with experience in product-led growth models (e.g., freemium, trial).
  • Customer-Driven Mindset: Deep understanding of customer psychology, habit formation, and UI simplification to reduce friction and improve the customer journey.
  • Quantitative & Qualitative Analysis: Proficient in both data analytics (SQL, A/B testing) and user experience optimization techniques to drive actionable growth insights.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Demonstrated ability to align strategies across development, marketing, and customer success teams, ensuring streamlined processes and cohesive goal attainment.
Bonus Points
  • Background in FinTech or experience working with small business clients
  • Familiarity with growth tactics in subscription-based products and experience with marketing analytics and business intelligence tools

As a valuable member of NorthOne’s team, you’ll get:

  • Family coverage of top-tier health/dental benefits: Get the right coverage for what matters most.
  • Remote-first work: You decide where you work. You can work from home, visit one of our in person hubs, or work while you travel.
  • Professional development budget: Enjoy an annual budget to deepen your expertise
  • Unlimited paid time off: We measure success around outcomes, not hours worked.
  • Powerful gear: We’ll make sure you have the right tech to do your best work.
  • Market range for this role at NorthOne is $120,000- $140,000 CAD depending on experience.

Few people have been trained for this sort of role and research shows that women and people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply if they haven’t satisfied every requirement. If you are this close to what we’ve described, but aren’t sure, apply. Let’s figure out together if this is where you could shine.

NorthOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and celebrates diversity. We welcome all applicants regardless of race, colour, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability status or national origin.
