Job Summary:
The Product/UI Designer will drive requirements by gathering and analyzing information, collaborating on application UI design, and ensuring effective implementation of new feature functionality. The ideal candidate will be a highly creative and self-motivated problem solver with the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously. In addition, this strong communicator requires a proven ability to articulate ideas.
Customer requirements dictate periodic online tests related to remote access to secured data systems, as well as successful completion of a criminal background investigation and fingerprint submission.
Primary Functions:
This position is chiefly accountable to/for:
- Develop human factors design and functional specifications based on analysis and/or research for software application products, including workflow analysis, process modeling and user interface design.
- Support sales, product management and development departments by determining customer needs and user interface requirements.
- Analyze client business processes and market requirements to determine goals and strategies.
- Utilize iterative development processes and collaborate with a team of individuals to define detailed user interface designs.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with cross functional teams to gather and document requirements to explore potential solutions.
- Use proven human factors methodologies and tools, recommend changes to improve the overall usability of the design or process, and produce products that minimize complexity of use, training and support.
- Contribute to the visualization and re-imagination of existing applications by creating wireframe mockups, prototypes, and web-based user interface.
- Plan and execute usability testing with prototypes.
- Initiate user champion reviews of interface designs.
- Identify and communicate potential risks and roadblocks on projects.
- Perform general process and technical troubleshooting.
Job Qualifications:
The qualifications we are looking for are mixture of work experience and educational background.
They are split into Minimum Qualifications (must have) and Additional Qualifications (nice to have) along with soft skills (competencies) needed for the role:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as Product/UI designer (working through complex product considerations, and design good user experiences)
- 2+ years of experience working with FIGMA
- Experience delivering high quality UI and product solutions for SaaS platform
- Portfolio will be necessary to be considered for the position.
Additional Qualifications:
- Email design experience
- Javascript experience
- Experience working on an Email Marketing Platform or similar system
