Marketing Activation Manager, Retail, DACH

We are looking for a dedicated and business driven Marketing Activation Manager to strengthen our team for Paulig in DACH area located in Vienna, Austria. You will own the Brand Activation plan for the Santa Maria Brand in the Tex Mex category and develop the portfolio strategy, communication & activation of the brand in the DACH region. You will be part of a cross-functional team, where interaction and cooperation between sales, category management and marketing are a prerequisite for building a winning and leading position in the DACH region. 

 

The position is temporaryuntill August 2026 - and located in Vienna, Austria. Paulig hybrid work principle flexibly combines working remotely and in the office. In this role, you will report to the Head of Regional Marketing Central Europe, based in the Netherlands. 

 

Key responsibilities of the role: 

  • Co-create and implement the local Strategic Business and Marketing plan, together and in close cooperation with Sales/Category Management. 

  • Drive the input for marketing communication and media strategy, including budget. 

  • Develop activation and consumer experiences based on Business Area plans within the planned budget. Monitor & evaluate on set KPI’s and plan for corrective measures if needed. 

  • Strive for excellence in execution on shop floor for new launches in close cooperation with the Category Management team. 

  • Follow closely the implementation and evaluation of brand objectives and KPIs in assigned area, and plan for corrective actions if necessary. 

  • Act locally as center of expertise in key functional competencies branding, communication, channel management, trade, digital etc. 

  • Give input to the local STRONG process to locally adapt central versions, secure strong Go-To-Market plans together with Category Management & Sales.

We expect: 

  • University degree in marketing 

  • Great commercial understanding and business acumen, with ideal experience from both sales and marketing roles in international settings/business areas. 

  • Ideally 5 years of experience in FMCG, of which at least 3 years in Brand Marketing/ Category Management. 

  • Experience of working in different analysis and business systems, Nielsen knowledge is a requirement. 

  • Speaks and writes fluently in English, German is a plus. 

  • Passion for food.
