Job Description

Job title:

Jr Consumer Marketing Manager - globally responsible for the shaving core portfolio; part of the international Philips Shaving Team, within Male Grooming.


Your role:

  • You will join us in on a product range where Philips is the leading brand globally. You are offered an attractive balance of strategic thinking and hands-on activity in an international business environment.

  • Formulate the upstream product strategy for the assigned portfolio and own new business models development. Collect and analyse market information and define existing market target groups.

  • Formulate the specification of new products based on available technology, components and existing market situation in order to have new products available on short term. Translate a general product plan into clear detailed product specifications for development. Drives the market introduction of the new product and business models.

  • Own re-occurring revenue business models and lead various product development and go-to-market projects. Translate in-depth market-, consumer-, shopper insights, as well as competitive analyses into winning concepts by defining product positioning. Identify and optimize the winning concepts, to integrate them into strategic product roadmaps, and develop and bring the concept from idea to market.

  • Pricing (Price setting) and margin optimization. Channel Strategy for assigned product portfolio.

  • Interact with various disciplines including Innovation, Technology & Development departments (Singapore), internal and external Design agencies, manufacturing units or external suppliers, marketing management, marketing communication and international sales organizations.

  • Help to extend the lifecycle of existing products by contributing with your marketing views and passion for the consumer.

You're the right fit if:

  • You've got a university degree qualified in a relevant subject area (for example business/strategic marketing, economics). International business or study experience preferred.

  • You've got 1-2 years of consumer marketing, product market introductions or marketing communications experience in an international business environment (including strong drive and experience in value proposition creation).

  • You're strong in communication: ability to collaborate with local marketing and sales teams, and create network within the organization globally

  • You excel at abstract thinking in combination with a pragmatic attitude, you've got good organizational skills, and you have a self-driven & entrepreneurial personality (ownership).
