Description

We are excited to add a Project Manager supporting our merger and acquisition efforts. Cherry Bekaert has driven substantial M&A activity since receiving Private Equity investment in mid-2022 (closing 10 acquisitions over this time) and this role will be pivotal in supporting our continued growth. In this role, you will be working across the entire lifecycle of our acquisitions, spanning the critical due diligence and integration planning/execution phases of each deal.

 

Other strategic initiatives will be supported as time permits. You will join the Corporate Development team and report to our Senior Project Manager for Mergers & Acquisitions.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the integration of acquisitions through Integration Planning and Close-Out Phases of

the M&A process.

  • Cross-functional management across the entire integration team including service lines, operations, technology, marketing, finance, HR, compliance, legal, etc.
  • Intensive and proactive coordination, managing schedule adherence, and driving overall timeline
  • Run cadence of weekly meetings with workstream leads on both critical and major project developments
  • Work closely with business/ functional leaders to define and execute their integration plans, ensure dependency alignment and address any gaps among teams
  • Support Corporate Development during early phases (Sourcing and Due Diligence) of the M&A
  • process with general project management tasks, including checklist/timeline development, integration due diligence data requests, information and channel access management for integration team members
  • Contribute to continual improvement of the organization’s M&A playbook, processes and project management capabilities

What you bring to the role:

  • Project Management experience in M&A or integration of acquisitions at a program level preferably at a professional services/consulting or private equity
  • Track record of leading and coordinating projects of various complexity across multiple functional departments, often concurrently with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; ability to add structure when required, but pivot quickly and adjust based on current circumstances
  • Strategic problem solver with a practical bias; self-starter with the ability to get up-the-curve
  • quickly on strategic initiatives and tactical problem solving
  • High level of interpersonal skills & ability to collaborate across departments; history of building
  • consensus and effectively influencing others to take the “next step” or resolution on key decision points from key process stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a "no surprise” approach and capable of
  • interacting with a wide range of internal and external constituencies
  • Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving
  • team environment
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint strongly preferred, with additional familiarity with Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook platforms
  • Experience with organizational change management a plus
  • Undergraduate degree required (preferred in Business or Finance field)
  • PMP certification is preferred, but not required

The salary range for this position is $74,480 to $168,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
