Job Description Summary
This job is responsible for investigating, and analyzing moderately complex, single discipline coverage and claims that have been referred to the special investigation unit (SIU) for potential fraud. The individual conducts and coordinates moderately complex site/scene inspections, virtual site inspections, receipt verifications, phone record reviews, reviews damage and loss estimates, reviews engineering cause and origin reports/opinions, etc., performs background searches, takes recorded statements, interviews witnesses and involved parties and conducts social media searches. The individual reviews whether fraud can be substantiated and support a lawsuit.
Key Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life of a SIU Property Investigator:
Researches and responds to moderately complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues
Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes, documenting a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision-making process
Reviews moderately complex singular claim referrals and fraud indicators to determine SIU acceptance
Validates that the information provided and obtained through investigation is true and accurate and follows up on all possible leads
Has frequent customer interaction of a moderately complex nature, including taking statements, responding to document requests and handling non-formal complaints, occasionally conducting scene investigations or neighborhood canvasses
Conducts moderately complex online data application searches, research, and evaluation
Conducts thorough investigations of moderately complex, individual claims in a singular discipline that are potentially fraudulent to determine if payment is warranted
Updates files with investigation outcome, and when no fraud, or if insufficient evidence is found, returns file to Market Claim Office for further handling and settlement
Preferred Qualifications:

You have a 5 years of claims handling experience in the property/homeowners line of business
Prior SIU experience is a plus
You have a strong background in negotiation and conflict management
Value providing an effortless customer service experience
Are organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Are known for clear and professional communication – both written and verbal
Have flexibility to work all different time zones and have an active adjusters license

Homebased/Remote
This position is a permanent remote home-based worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States.
This position is eligible for a $80 monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses.”

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $52,260.00 - 92,790.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
