The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services Team:
RTX launched oneRTX: Process & Systems Transformation (PST) focused on leveraging the scale of our three business units to improve collaboration, cost structure, productivity and performance. This will include several major, multi-year initiatives that align to our goals as a company and optimize how we work, operate and deliver to our customers to achieve our full potential. With processes optimized and harmonized, will reduce cost, effort and improve performance as we break down silos and establish consistent ways of working.
The oneRTX: PST project goals are to harmonize key business processes, tools and metrics across RTX, while deploying a common enterprise resource management platform – SAP’s S4 HANA. The result will be a common user experience across the businesses, real-time visibility into critical data, and automation of manual tasks to enable all employees to focus on value-add activities.
The strategic definition and design phase has primarily concluded and is now entering the initial blueprinting, build and support phases. oneRTX: PST project hubs are based out of Farmington, CT and Dallas, TX with Integration Workshops planned to be executed in Tucson, Tewksbury, East Hartford, Montreal, Cedar Rapids, and Charlotte. Travel will be required based on proximity to hub and frequency of workshops.
The Order to Cash workstream is a comprehensive end-to-end process that handles the complete cycle of order management, from receiving request for proposals to finalizing the payment and close out. It is designed to optimize and integrate various functions within an organization to streamline and enhance the efficiency of managing customer transactions.
Associate Director, Enterprise Services Order to Cash Lead
The Enterprise Services Order to Cash Lead is responsible for engaging with RTX business process leaders to design the future Order to Cash processes for the Company, representing the interest of the Enterprise Financial Services Team. The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment to assist in the design, development, and testing of S4Hana in relation to Order to Cash. This role requires someone with proven experience as a project lead, strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders and Business Units.
What You Will Do
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead & support long lead time projects, priority initiatives and blueprinting.
- Partner with the other leads to ensure a common consistent process and adherence to the project change controls.
- Lead and manage change under the oneRTX vision of improving collaboration, commonality, and interoperability.
- Monitor Order to Cash design compliance to RTX and BU policies & FAR / DFAR requirements.
- Lead planning activities to establish scope, timeline, and resource plan for the assigned Order to Cash business processes.
- Use the key design decisions to drive the dependent activities.
- Manage projects ensuring on time schedule, within budget and meeting all technical requirements as defined by the team.
- Foster relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and business partners.
- This role will require ~ 25%-40%, primarily to Farmington, Connecticut and other major RTX US sites (Richardson, TX, Cedar Rapids, IA, and Charlotte, NC).
Qualifications You Must Have
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field and 12 years’ of relevant work experience or 10 years with an Advanced Degree.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
- At least 10 years of experience and cross-functional knowledge of multiple work areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with aerospace and defense experience.
- CORE Certification (or equivalent) and at least 10 years project management expertise.
- At least 10 years’ experience and knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or other ERP system & their impact on business processes.
- At least 10 years’ experience gained in the aerospace and defense industry to include at least 7 years’ experience in and knowledge of the Order to Cash business processes including but not limited to: proposals, contracts, pricing, order management, invoicing, accounts receivable and/or customer management.
- At least 10 years’ experience working with cross functional/cross business unit teams on high visibility projects implementing IT solution architecture or software
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and other analytical tools.
- Ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders and external third parties.
- Ability to understand business processes, identify and mitigate risk.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple priorities with limited oversight.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
