Global Production Crop Strategist (M/W)

Job Description

You enhance the prosperity of growers by: 

Overseeing the Global supply of assigned vegetable seed crop(s) BRASSICA Group (broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, radish) to customers worldwide through the development and execution of the seeds Production and crop placement strategy.

Reaching the agreed Global supply goals on quality, quantity, timing, and cost.

Managing risks, identifying future supply constraints, and developing actions for their resolution.

Responsible for crop knowledge transfer across regional (global role = Europe, AMEA, NA…) field production teams enabling continuous improvement.

Establishing a close relationship with stakeholders in R&D and Marketing & Sales  with the goal to optimally organize the variety introduction and commercial scale-up to achieve complete customer satisfaction.

The position is offered on a permanent contract, based in Sarrians.

Regular business travel required ~30% max both regionally and internationally.

  Accountabilities

- Develop and implement global sourcing strategy for assigned crop family.

- Lead global sourcing plan implementation with key stakeholders.

- Co-create biannual Crop release plan for Vegetable Leadership Team approval.

- Oversee variety promotion decisions, including NPI and IP security.

- Manage new product transitions to production with R&D and FPR.

- Lead integration of new product lines and participate in M&A activities.

- Support contract development and negotiate yield targets with regional teams.

- Coordinate with MoM and regional managers on vendor plan execution.

- Ensure seed stock availability and data management for production plans.

- Establish agronomic data collection needs and regional harmonization.

- Lead data-driven production analysis and improvement initiatives.

- Implement KPI system for performance evaluation and improvement.

- Develop and share IP security measures aligned with crop strategy.

- Provide technical training and best practices to regional teams.

- Support new production area development and technology implementation.

- Review and maintain regional variety production recipes in global tool.

- Collaborate on exploring and establishing new production areas.

Qualifications

- Minimum bachelor’s degree in agriculture / business required.

- Functional knowledge of seed production operations preferred.

- Experience in planning and agriculture production processes preferred.

- Strong IT & project management skills and experience.

- Fluent in English & other appreciated.

- Financial knowledge & data analytics.

- Global mindset and experience working in a multi-cultural international environment.

- Supply Chain experience in global seed movement preferred.

- Independent and entrepreneurial mindset, ability to set a clear vision, End-to-End thinker and at each moment understand the impact of a decision on the ultimate customer satisfaction.
