Job description

SENIOR PAID SOCIAL BUYER 

A Paid Social Buyer at CTC is an expert in all things Meta. You will work closely with clients as their lead media strategist or, on larger accounts, in collaboration with a broader Growth Team. You will analyze historical data, identify trends, and then use that information to guide your clients and team to build successful campaigns. Your role is to make data-informed bets on targeting, messaging, and optimizing campaigns to create the best possible outcome for your clients. You will conduct multivariate tests to determine the best-performing creative and target audiences to will scale client accounts, and take ownership of finding solutions when a bet does not go as planned. You will be responsible for establishing trusting relationships and providing weekly updates to clients, as their primary point of contact.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

INNOVATE | You’re willing to learn, and you stay on the frontier of marketing strategy & technology.  In an ever-changing digital marketing landscape, you constantly adapt and evolve. As our Sr. PSoB, you combine data analysis and feedback from clients to develop strategic plans. You make tactical recommendations for targeting, messaging, and optimizing campaigns to meet KPIs. Sr. PSoBs continually tweak and optimize campaign creative, copy, audiences, and buying tactics to create the best possible outcomes for their clients. You also conduct multivariate tests to determine the best-performing creative and target audiences for your campaigns. You incessantly investigate account performance and constantly adapt strategies based on statistical outcomes in your accounts. When it’s time to pivot you are among the first early adopters. You share early insights and encourage the team by helping to lead the way.

 

CREATE | You’re an outside-the-box thinker. Creative problems take creative solutions. You rack your brain to find the hidden solution in the rough. Using data from previous campaigns to guide your decision-making, you write compelling direct-response advertising copy, build out campaigns in Facebook Ads Manager, and, ensure all strategic initiatives are built and launched according to strict timelines and agreed-upon budgets across multiple ad accounts. 

 

Attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making are all essential characteristics in becoming a best-in-class media buyer at CTC.  You are a problem solver and know how to take the lead in situations that present any obstacle to execution.

You look to your goals as a foam wall to tear down, and you take great pride in giving it your all. We value the mantra of “Count on Me” meaning that you can see things through to the end!  As a Sr. PSoB, you work closely with members of your growth team and other members of CTC to project a monthly account budget plan for each account in relation to account goals agreed upon by you and your team leader, You are a champion of communication, giving and receiving feedback in a timely manner, while making sure everybody on your team has clarity on campaign performance and creative testing results.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE 

Success in Your Day-to-Day Looks Like

  • Monitoring active campaigns and adjusting budgets and strategy to ensure the best results possible for our clients.
  • Implementing tests in your accounts in an effort to beat your best-performing campaigns.
  • Pulling and Sorting data tables from previous campaigns to guide our creative teams on the best-performing creative elements to use in newer ads. 
  • Assisting with accounts of non-Sr. media buyers to guide them through any helpful tips you might have. 
  • Reporting data kindly and clearly to leadership and clients.
 

Success in Your First Three to Six Months Looks Like

Ownership of Ad Accounts
    • Actively running up to 6 clients without regular assistance from other buyers.

Accurate Reporting And Projecting Spend/Revenue
    • You’ve learned the ropes and you should be able to accurately project a client’s Facebook spend/ROAS.

Assisting Wherever Possible. 
    • As a Sr. Paid Buyer, you’re expected to share your knowledge with any who need it, Assisting accounts and starting palms down to help wherever you can. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
  • 2-4 years of paid media experience managing budgets of $350,000+.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets.
  • Ability to forecast budgets based on historical data & client goals. 
  • Must have a unique combination of humility (willing to do the dirty work) and ambition (vision for what your future holds).
  • We value your time, but as an agency sometimes you may be required to work on weekends or after hours.
  • Skilled in ASANA or relevant project management software, preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete short-term and long-term goals in a proper manner.
  • An insatiable curiosity, and an inability to leave a problem alone until you’ve found one or many different potential solutions.
  • A desire to take risks - but only after carefully examining the calculus and determining that your chosen course of action is most effective.
 

WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

 

SALARY RANGE

  • $70,000 - $85,000 base salary, annually
    • This is prior to any benefits (see the “ABOUT US” Section for additional details
  • Bonus Structure | 10% of base salary
