Responsibilities

Manage the company's day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations.
Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
Prepare financial statements and reports for management and clients.
Monitor cash flow and manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
Conduct regular internal audits to identify and resolve any financial discrepancies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Proven work experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper with a Canadian client.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
Proficiency in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numbers.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
