Purpose of the Job :

As members of 6sense’s Security department, the Security Operations and Threat Management team protect 6sense through prevention, detection, investigation, and response to business-impacting security events, incidents, and threats.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Identify and respond to security incidents by conducting continuous monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and log analysis
  • Coordinate with vendors, Infrastructure, Engineering, IT, GRC, Cloud, and Application Security teams as required to validate alerts and ensure incident resolution
  • Conduct a proactive threat landscape review by monitoring security and identifying issues that may impact 6sense.
  • Tune the detection rule in deployed security solutions to address evolving threat scenarios.
  • Administer security tools and build basic automation that enables the 6Sense Security Team to operate at speed and scale
  • Engineer current security trends, advisories, publications, and academic research into daily practices
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and maintain automation tasks
  • Execute quarterly individual Key Results that support team Objectives (OKRs)
  • Carry out Proactive monitoring of deployed security solutions to ensure they are operating properly.
  • Create and publish a security playbook for different threat scenarios.

Performance Measurement

  • Understand the 6sense product and platform 
  • Participates in weekly 1:1s with the manager and monthly skip levels
  • Takes part in the Security Operations on-call.
  • Identifies security exposures and threats through log analysis,and alert monitoring.
  • Drives incidents to closure within established SLAs
  • Maintains up-to-date handbook pages, runbooks, workflows, and dashboards
  • Operates in SecOps technology. 

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience being part of a Security Operations or similar team
  • Experience with security tools and cloud environments (e.g., Vulnerability Scanners, SIEM, SOAR, AWS) 
  • Knowledge of industry frameworks, regulations, and standards, such as: MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE, PASTA, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI, SOX, NIST, etc.
  • Knowledge of AI for cybersecurity is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Relevant industry certifications, such as CSA, GCDA, GSOC, CySA #LI-remote
