North America Sales Manager, E-Commerce/Amazon

Business Purpose

As part of a growing Americas Commercial team, WaterWipes is looking for an accomplished and strategic Sales Manager of E-Commerce/Amazon. This critical role within the organization will own E-Commerce Business Development and support the Amazon USA and Canada commercial business. This sales leader will set the strategy for WaterWipes E-Commerce Account expansion. This role will directly manage the P&L, sales targets and all daily functions of our E-Commerce accounts, and support the Senior Sales Manager E-Commerce/Amazon on Amazon USA and Canada specifically. They will be driven by a desire to grow E-Commerce America sales channel strategically and with a focus on long term results. This person will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be driven by consistently developing relationships, setting sales strategy and operating with a one market approach.  This role works remotely.

Overview of the Role

The Sales Manager of E-Commerce/Amazon will report into the E-Commerce Commercial Director and be responsible for all aspects of E-Commerce business development. This will include daily maintenance of the multiple e-commerce accounts, in depth forecasting, analysis of sales reports and account relationship management. They will focus on opening new accounts and set portfolio plans that drive the overall growth with a strategic omni channel and one market approach. They will support the E-Commerce Commercial Director and Senior Sales Manager in mining and analysing sales data for Amazon Americas as well as other E-commerce Accounts.

The right candidate will be excited by new business development and the ability to own/build the E-Commerce account strategy.

This Sales Manager will communicate and work effectively with all cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and other sales counterparts ensuring the business is tracking against all KPIs.

There will be a strong preference for this role to reside on the East Coast of the United States in the Eastern Standard Time Zone.

E-Commerce/Amazon Sales Manager Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of new business development for the E-Commerce Sales Channel
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand WaterWipes existing E-Commerce account base and own entire process of on-boarding and subsequently managing these accounts
  • Drive relationships and profitable growth with multiple E-Commerce accounts simultaneously
  • Work with E-Commerce Commercial Director on strategy for E-Commerce sales on a daily basis
  • Support the 1P relationship with Amazon (both USA and Canada), working directly with the WaterWipes Senior Sales Manager to be a best in class partner for Amazon
  • Mine, analyze, and report on all relevant data, including sales and consumer data and any additional KPIs by account
  • Set Omni Channel Strategies and tactical plans to optimize growth with multiple accounts cohesively
  • Monitor and report financials from both internal and external reports, generating analysis and communicating clearly to E-Commerce Commercial Director and relevant key stakeholders
  • Partner with supply chain and logistics both internally and externally, onboarding new accounts, tracking POs, chargebacks, SKU volumes, stock levels, and all relevant metrics
  • Develop and distribute accurate data using SAP, Profitero/Edge, Amazon Vendor Central and other relevant sources in support of S&OP
  • Clearly communicate decisions and rationale with cross-functional team members and retailer partners through email, phone, and presentations in a timely manner
  • Manage projects and daily tasks with a keen sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Adapt plans and expectations in line with changing circumstances, and communicate rationale to solutions
  • Create Power Point presentations for internal and external business updates utilized at every level of the organization

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Sales/Account Management, with 3+ years working with E-Commerce accounts
  • Experience working with Amazon 1P and/or 3P 
  • Proven success managing a key, mass or global wholesale/commercial business
  • Desire to own end to end responsibility for a fast paced and growing sales channel
  • Ideally experience of working with consumer goods
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to identify and build new E-Commerce Sales opportunities
  • Comfortable presenting both in person and virtually to a diverse audience (including external stakeholders and executive leaders)
  • Ambitious, creative and results driven attitude
  • A love of diving deep into data and insights to make decisions and drive results
  • A solid self-starter mentality and ability to own and drive projects independently
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced presentation, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time and work across time zones (i.e. PST & UTC)
