Job description

Position Summary
Director of Marketing, will focus on enhancing marketing capabilities of the Azar global marketing team. He/She will work closely with the product marketing teams and collaborate cross-functionally to develop strategies, market positioning and branding for Azar. This leader will provide marketing insights to stakeholders based on customer and competitive data analysis. He/She will engage in decision making of Azar marketing direction globally.

Responsibilities
  • Set the global marketing strategy for further growth of the Azar brand. 
  • Define brand positioning and execute campaigns to build the brand and achieve growth.
  • Responsible for annual and quarterly marketing planning, including country investment strategies, partnerships, and brand media strategy.
  • Monitors the development of marketing plans, assesses market penetration, and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share
  • Partner with strategy team to conduct market research, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs
  • Partner with the comms team to deliver proactive PR tactics
  • Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing channels
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams within Hyperconnect and Match Group
  • Manage marketing budget and external contractors/agencies
  • Build, manage and coach a high-performing marketing team.

  • Requirements
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • at least 10+ years of experience in overall marketing functional areas
  • at least 3+ years of experience in the app acquisition marketing
  • at least 3+ years of leadership or team management experience
  • Strategic, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly fluent in English and Korean
