Job description

We are looking for a passionate and caring professional to join SafeRide Health as a Prevention & Control Specalist. This role consists of taking a variety of inbound calls and outbound calls. The primary function is to take ownership and accountability for managing standing orders or routine treatment members. This is accomplished by gathering and entering detailed trip information for scheduling non-emergency medical transports for urgent and non-urgent medical appointments, handling member inquiries, and complaint intake. To do well in this role you must have a calm, kind demeanor, enjoy working with a diverse population, and possess exceptional active listening and communication skills. This role relies upon self-autonomy for the completion of tasks, speed in work processes, attention to detail, and an inquisitive mind. There are no sales required for this role.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Managing the bookings and oversight for standing order members across multiple health plans
  • Maintaining healthy relationships with dialysis facilities across the country to best provide services for their members
  • Taking inbound calls from members, medical facilities, Transportation Providers, and Health Plans
  • Accurately enter ride details to ensure successful ride completion
  • Identifying and assessing additional member's needs
  • Confirming member eligibility
  • Answering member inquiries regarding transportation services
  • Intake of member complaints
  • Actively working with other internal departments to quickly address real-time issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of inbound call center experience in a high call volume atmosphere

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience with Dialysis populations 
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, and NEMT guidelines
  • Knowledge of health insurance programs and benefits
