We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Licensure & Certification Specialist to join our team in Nashville, TN.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position provides support to the Manager, L&C and the Licensure & Certification (L & C) department.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Credentialing and re-credentialing individual providers related to the operation of Anesthesia entities;
• Enrollment and revalidation of providers with government and commercial payors;
• Regular contact via telephone and correspondence with state licensing agencies and federal regulatory agencies such as Medicare carriers to enroll providers into the Medicare program;
• Provide timely turnaround of credentialing information and federal projects;
• Work within a strict time frame of setting priorities, using discretion to exercise confidentiality;
• Work with state and government agencies, and legal representatives;
• Research and help to develop policies and procedures for the department;
• Other projects as assigned requiring the ability to work with other co-workers toward successful completion;
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

• Experience drafting and completing Medicare 855B applications is preferred;
• Excellent PC Skills including Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat experience;
• Able to type proficiently and accurately while recording entries into multiple Licensure & Certification databases to track work status;
• Able to read, understand, and translate legalese and state statutes and regulations, both verbally and in writing, for relevant stakeholders.
• Must be willing to work onsite 1 day per week.

Education/Experience:
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited College or University; Bachelor’s Degree, Credentialing Certification or experience, or Paralegal Certification or experience preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) years’ experience as detailed above is required;
• CPCS Certification is desirable.

Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as approved in advance. Must be able to work under pressure and strict time frames occasionally. Must have good research skills.

Must pass a background check and drug screen.
