About the Role:
We are in search of a hard-working, significant contributor in the development of negotiation strategies with front-line internal stakeholders (for example, Account Managers, Product Management, and Legal). Support for Connected Car and general Insurance business. Applies specialized expertise in functional discipline (including contacting principles, laws, and regulations governing data protection and security) with a broader perspective and understanding of business risks (profit and loss implications) to achieve business objectives and solve complex contractual issues.
Responsibilities:
Applying specialized expertise in functional discipline (including contacting principles, laws, and regulations governing data protection and security) with a broader perspective and understanding of business risks (profit and loss implications) to achieve business objectives and solve complex contractual issues.
Guiding and instructs junior level personnel in contract life-cycle management, including negotiation strategy development, understanding strategic customer information, contract drafting and development, and customer negotiations.
Taking an active role in identifying and resolving policy and process gaps and communicating improvements across cross-functional organizations.
Demonstrating a high degree of independence and creative judgment. Proactive problem solver and thought leader.
Drafting customized and non-standard provisions, agreements, and amendments and leads customer negotiations to successful conclusion.
Communicating and providing guidance to junior level personnel regarding customer requirements, corporate and business unit policies and procedures, business risk, and federal and state laws and regulations governing data protection and security in order to resolve complex contractual problems.
Working independently, with guidance from business leaders and/or legal only in the most complex situations. Proactive problem solver and thought leader.
Requirements:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
Master's Degree or Juris Doctorate preferred.
6 + years contracts management experience is preferred.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong negotiation skills.
Must work well in team environment Insurance and knowledge of regulatory environment and applicable laws a plus.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory environment and applicable laws (FCRA, DPPA, GLB, etc.) preferred.
