National Manager, Golf & Sports Turf Dealer Development

Position/Job Description:

The Dealer Development Manager is responsible for the establishment, refinement, and optimization of the dealer channel for Golf and Sports Turf customers in the US.  The position is responsible for new dealer recruitment, on-boarding, programming, performance management, and channel development.  As a Dealer Development Manager, the individual must understand and implement all policies including finance, accounting, marketing, business process improvements and will be responsible for the strategic direction and customer relationships.  This position will be the key company interface with leadership of GST Dealers.

What You Need to Know:

• Assists in establishing dealers in assigned Areas of Responsibilities (AOR), participate in meetings as needed, coordinates the onboarding of new dealers.
• Facilitate the peak performance of the dealer channel as related to compliance and growth.
• Develop competitive activities and strategies for dealer channel and propose tactical initiatives to maintain peak performance. Employ a variety of business processes related to finance and marketing to support dealer channel goals.   
• Contract management with dealers - Signing, performance improvement plans, renewals, and termination if necessary
• Communicate, monitor, and report channel-wide dealer goals and programs
• Support Dealer growth initiatives including APR expansion and M&A opportunities
• Create, document and deploy a next generation (Dealer of Tomorrow) dealer channel and strategy plan
• Monitor and communicate dealer key performance metrics to field sales team
• Facilitate quarterly and annual (and as needed) business reviews with dealer principals with the support of Husqvarna GST Team.    
• Regularly assess (through reports, dealer surveys, and other appropriate methods) the performance and support needs of dealers. Develop solutions that address deficits.
• Work with dealer field sales personnel, technical service, and accounting staff on how to do business with Husqvarna. Present and support Husqvarna policies to accounts and ensure best practices are followed.  
• Work with Marketing Team to establish programs and promotions that fuel growth
• Represent Husqvarna at trade shows, dealer meetings and other critical customer events.
• Regularly coordinate with all inside departments to ensure dealer’s needs are met.  
• Communicate business trends and business updates to leadership team.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales Management or  Golf and Sports Industry related field
• 10+ years developing and managing OEM/Dealer programs and key performance metrics
• 10+ years of experience in contract negotiation, inventory management, and floor planning
• 10+ years in dealer operations and finance
• Ability to travel up to 50%
• 10+ years of Golf and sports turf equipment experience
• 10+ years of channel management and cross functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Sales and Marketing experience with all channels of distribution
