$121,284.00 - $150,000.00

The Role
The Manager of DevSecOps will lead our DevSecOps team to implement and integrate security best practices within our DevOps & Product workflows, supporting our mission to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions. This role will be critical in driving the strategic growth of our DevSecOps practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring our cloud infrastructure, spanning both Azure and AWS, remains robust, secure, and compliant with industry standards. The Manager of DevSecOps will also focus on designing secure, automated deployment pipelines and collaborating across teams to align operational and business objectives.


 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Offerings Development:
    • Build and maintain DevSecOps service offerings that are industry-relevant and forward-thinking.
    • Oversee the design and development of in-house CI/CD/CS DEMO pipelines for client engagements, leveraging both Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Drive the growth of the DevSecOps practice through strategic hiring, training, and mentoring initiatives.
    • Lead a high-performing DevOps team, encouraging collaboration, innovation, and a focus on security and automation.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
    • Design and implement strategies for the deployment, scaling, and automation of infrastructure and applications within Azure and AWS.
    • Manage cloud environments, ensuring adherence to security guidelines and best practices.
  • CI/CD Automation & Security Integration:
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and other automation tools.
    • Ensure security is seamlessly integrated into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
    • Proactively monitor DevOps pipelines and cloud environments, troubleshooting and resolving issues to maintain high availability and performance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with development, IT, and security teams to implement DevOps practices that align with business objectives.
    • Act as a primary contact for cloud and DevOps-related security concerns, ensuring alignment across departments.
  • Documentation & Training:
    • Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures to promote knowledge sharing.
    • Conduct training sessions and mentor junior team members to uplift the overall skill set of the team.
  • Technology Evaluation:
    • Stay informed on new technologies, especially within the Azure and AWS ecosystems, and assess their potential to enhance our infrastructure and processes.


 

Requirements:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3+ years in a leadership role, such as DevOps Team Leader, with experience managing distributed teams.
    • At least 7+ years of experience in cloud services and infrastructure management, specifically in Azure and AWS.
    • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
    • Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and experience with CI/CD pipeline tools.
    • Proficient in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
    • Deep knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancers, VPNs, VPCs, and access control.
  • Certifications:
    • CISSP or equivalent security certification preferred.

  • Cross-functional Communication: Effective communicator who can work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Strategic Thinking & Innovation: Ability to drive strategic initiatives and adopt new technologies for continuous improvement.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in leadership communication, roadmap development, and mentoring senior individual contributors.
  • Advanced knowledge of performance tuning, optimization, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Familiarity with observability and incident management systems.
