IT Concepts is looking for an experienced Project Manager with GIS to support the Social Security Administration. The Project Manger will help process improvements and enhance operational efficiency within the SSA. In this role, you will engage with stakeholders to identify business requirements and create essential documentation while leading user acceptance testing. You will analyze data to support strategic decision-making and recommend automation opportunities. Your expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies will be vital in navigating projects successfully. Responsibilities:

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources throughout the project.
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct post implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of the application.
  • Provide status to customers.
  • Understand and adhere to contract terms and conditions.

Location: Remote, residing in the United States, and able to work EST hours.

Requirements

  • PM experience with an ESRI ArcGIS® system.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of project management and related experience and 10 years of work experience.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Possesses the ability to communicate with the affected user community, requirements analysts, and others to develop the most appropriate approach.
  • Skilled in providing detailed written and/or oral recommendations.
  • Familiar with all phases of the systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and overseeing projects through the lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Familiar with Section 508 compliance regulations.
  • Experience working with users to elicit requirements that will meet their business needs.
  • Skilled in the development of high level and detailed functional requirements documentation.
  • Previous Government contracting experience.

Clearance requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
